Aircraft Testing Beyond Real World Conditions
Published by Joby Aviation · July 27, 2026
Added to our library September 20, 2026
In this test, our engineers load our aircraft's tail structure to conditions beyond what it is ever expected to experience in real world operations, then move the ruddervators, the control surfaces on our tail, through their full range of motion to confirm they perform as designed. It's one of many tests used to validate the aircraft's design and build the evidence needed to support certification.
